Spinoff: Pregnant during winter - what kind of coat?
Do they make maternity coats? My regular winter coats are certainly not going to fit me.

Re: Spinoff: Pregnant during winter - what kind of coat?
This is such a good question, I know they do make maternity coats but I am worried about size since I am due March 1, I will need to get a coat lets say in Nov...but i do want it to fit till I give birth....

Exactly - I am due 3/17, so kind of in the same boat....someone suggested borrowing a coat from a friend that did the same thing, or if your mom is on the heavier side, borrowing one of her coats.

I am going to make due with what i have. I have a coat that I outgrew years ago that will probably work now. Near the end I probably will not be able to button it, but I'm literally in the car out to work/ house, etc.

I'm in the same boat as well and wil probably find a heavy shawl to wear as a jacket and maybe find an a-line coat that can be worn when not pregnant.
Something like this:

My mom and me actually found the steal of a lifetime at Lord & Taylor Clearance Center. I got a wool coat (2x sizes to big), but def. has a ton of room in the tummy (plus its empired waist to begin with).
AND IT ONLY COSTS $35, marked down from $400!!!

I was wondering the same thing. My coat definitely won't fit. Where do they sell nice Maternity coats? I'm afraid it I get a regular coat in a larger size, it won't fit me in other places.

I had a Gap maternity coat. It was a wrap in the front with ties to the side. It was super cute and it came in black or charcoal. It was knee length.
