do you keep cards? and statues? and anything sentimental?
i am soooo not
its all garbage to me
meanwhile my husband and his family save everything....
its a big fight sometimes....but i hate crapola piling up around my home!

I am the same as you, and DH is a pack rat, just like his mother. I just found out that his mother JUST threw away DH's baby cradle that was in their attic for 30 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I save some and toss some.
For example, I have every card my DH has ever given me, but toss all the others.
I did save all my wedding cards, too.

For about a month (cards), then they get trashed. I do still have some cards that DH gave me over the years that he wrote something nice in, but that is about it.

I am a saver-
I have a trunk for all of our stuff (DH and I)
I keep all cards from DH (all in the same place)
It all goes in the attic though
BUT, in a way I am glad I am like this cause when I moved into my new house I found a letter my grandmother had written me-It was probably for my confirmation or something-I found it in a place I would never think to look-I dont remember ever reading it-but I now cherish it

Total sentimental freak, but with important things.
As time goes on I get "clean sweep crazy" and chuck some items that might not mean the same to me as they did back then.

I'm not a big saver-I prefer things to be thrown away, but I still have the cork from the champagne bottle from the night we got engaged and the day we closed on the house.

I have all the cards and things that my DH gave me while we were dating...I plan on keeping all my childrens stuff.
My parents kept all my art projects and things like that and its nice to see them after a while and remember being young.

I throw everything out. The only things I have saved are enagement, shower & wedding cards. And I save the cards from my hubba.
I have one small rubbermaid box of momentos from kindergarden through now plus very very small wedding momento box
(menu/incites/response cards/thank you cards/invoices/favors/plane tickets from honeymoon/etc...)

Yes I am BUT I am also very organized with it. I have several boxes in my moms basement with stuff and a few in my apt.
It just makes me feel guilty to throw things away - I worry that I would like to have it if the person that gave it to me passed away.

With some things. Like some precious cards and notes, but I don't like to keep stuff that has no purpose.
My dh keeps everything...he won't throw out a shirt that is old because his mom bought it for him.

I used to. Then when I went to college, my dad put most of my momentos in a box and labled it "Marlo's Crap". Now, I toss most stuff.

I'm very sentimental. I keep things that have special meaning to me.When we moved into our new house I had just given birth and my xh threw out a whole box of very sentimental stuff I saved from my childhood because he was to lazy to move
all our stuff
