spinoff- teachers what do you love/hate to get as gifts
I love getting gift cards to anywhere, I hate getting chocolates. I seriously think I must get 10 boxes every x-mas, and there's no way I could/would eat all of that chocolate even if I wanted to. I wind up regifting them and bringing a box wherever I go.

Maybe you should post this on the teachers board so you don't insult some of us that buy teacher gifts that are apparently hated

DH loves Starbucks, DD, 7-11 coffees so those are alwaya a big hit. He's gotten Sports Authority and Dicks GC's too. Any gift is appreciated, some are just loved more than others.

Gift cards are great and probably the best.
Chocolates are fine by me. I will admit I've often brought them to relatives' houses during the holidays... kinda regifting but I tell them where I got them.
I never eat anything home made. Sorry but you never know how clean people's kitchens are (don't want to get sick) and well, I do teach high school, I wouldn't put it past a few kids to do "something" to the food. We had a few teachers get sick.
Not a fan of "teacher" gifts. One can only have so many teacher ornaments, mugs, etc. and I'm just not into knick-knacks.
Of course, I do appreciate any gifts as it's the thought that counts but if you wanted my honest opinion on what I really like there it is.

I wasn't trying to insult anybody. I just thought it may be helpful to people out their buying gifts for their kids teachers. I'm a dance teacher, so I don't know why my parents are trying to fatten me up. That's all I menat about not wanting all of that chocolate. i do keep my favorite box, but 10 is just too many.
