Spinoff to 1St Bday questions: What was your "entertainment"
If you had entertainment what was it.. or what was/is going to be there for the kids.
I have to invite over 30 kids. We've done the clown thing.. looking for some ideas.
BTW: I HATE that I feel like I HAVE to have entertainment. We never did as kids when we went to parties!! What happened!!!

im gonna have a clown that does a dance party and face painting. when i was a kid i remember always having entertainment. i remember having a clown that was also a magician. i loved her!

DON'T feel like you have to! I didn't hire any entertainment. I did it myself!
DD's party we did a craft, played freeze dance, musical chairs, etc.
DS's party was outside, so we did a pinata, pin the tail on the donkey and other fun games!

DS's party was outside, so we did a pinata, pin the tail on the donkey and other fun games!
DS party is in Nov and Im having it in a room (top floor party room in my father's condo apartment in Long Beach) I would never be able to entertain kids myselft..  especially over 30 of all different ages!!

we used twinkle time- loved them
and my girlfriend was kind enough to let us borrow her jumpy castle- that in itself was priceless, the kids loved it!

DD's toys, my dogs, crayons, coloring books, matchbox cars, some foam craft things, water table, balls and a radio. I'm not a fan of hiring entertainment. However, the best entertainment wise I have seen was at a friend's party. She hired Darlene Graham Not sure what it cost but the kids all had fun.

I am no help because we had a clown at DDs 1st bday.(and a DJ)
Ive been to parties that had puppet shows, petting zoos, DJ's, characters (Elmo, Mickey(we had Micket at DDs 2nd bday).....

I had a comforter on the grass with toys
I did pick up coloring books, crayons and play-doh for the two older kids though

I'm torn too....
I know people are acting like its not needed, but for the twins 1st b day, the kid list is up to 48 
I cannot have 48 kids un-entertained and I can't entertain them

We had Nick as well. I didn't have that many kids at DD's party, but the adults were amazed at what he can do with balloons. He was very entertaining and definately worth every penny! He also did the centerpieces for the party as well.

We used Legendary Entertainment (LIF Vendor)! We loved them! Joseph, the owner, is so nice to work with! We hired them for 90 minutes and it was plenty! Our party was for 3 hours.

I used a music person in NJ b/c that's where the party was. She was great!! Played her guitar and lots of songs, had a bubble machine, instruments for the kids and they even got to sing in the microphone. It was cute and the little ones loved it.

We have rented a moon bounce and are looking into a face painting lady. We are doing Travis party at home and only have 10 kids invited. So i needed a place so they arent running around in my house. lol But if you don’t want to hire someone or do entertainment, maybe make a few different sections/stations for the kids. Maybe coloring in one spot, play doe in another spot, painting in another spot. If you go onto Oriental Trading they have tons of little kid projects.
