spinoff to 30wk baby weight thread
does everyone have a growth sono around this time?
i don't know if that's in the plans with my OB unless something is wrong? am i missing out?

I'm 33 weeks - haven't had a growth sono - my dr. doesn't do them unless you are measuring big or small so most likely i will not have one.

I will be 33 weeks on Saturday and am having my growth sono on Friday. Its one of the routine things that my doctor does.

some doctors do them as routine and others dont....I wouldnt worry if you doctor hasnt ordered one. In reality it isnt necessary...The doctor can tell if your baby is measuring small, large, or just right, just by feeling your belly and doing the fundus height..it might be "old school' but overall its just as accurate in the end.

I just had a 28 week appt. today. I had a sono to check on my placenta, and he said we wont do a gorwth sono until later in pregnancy, like 34 weeks i think.

I got a script for a growth sono at my 30 week visit. My doctor told me she is starting to do them routinely during pregnancies- so it wasnt like I needed to worry that she thought something was wrong. She told me to hold off and go in 2 weeks- so I went when I was 32 weeks. Dont know if I'll go again, she hasnt mentioned it at all.

My OBGYN doesn't normally do them, but I'm getting them because he's an elephant. The reason they even found out he was an elephant is because I was having contractions and they did a sono. I wasn't scheduled to have a sono after week 20.

I am having one...I dont know if itis standard or not. I thought they were doing it bc of my low lying placenta in the beginning.
