Spinoff to Black Friday Shopping...
I went 4 years ago and it was horrible..I only bought 2 things and they were designer so not even on sale...any tips because I want to go again this year...please give me a battle plan. It would help so much!!

The Today Show ran a special as to when the best time to buy certain things were. One being when to Christmas shop. Research shows that the best deals are found right before Christmas and not on Black Friday. I don't know if that helps at all.
ETA: I never shop on Black Friday.

I would get a jump start by reading the adscans at bfads.net or another site. Know what you are looking for and compare prices. Don't forget, there is always Cyber Monday!

i read bfads.net
they have the sales scanned for BF
I plan out where I would like to go then I just shop around. If i find stuff great if not it is ok i will go somewhere else.
I like going. I worked Black Friday retail for soooooooooooo many years and I enjoy being on the shopping end of it now. But here are things I do not let bother me
1) crowds
2) Long lines
3) People arguing with the sales people and holding up lines
I have the patience for it and if you have the patience it is fine. I am just satisfied getting things on sale and if I have to wait on lines I will.

you couldn't pay me to get out of bed at 4 or 5am and wait in the freezing cold on line for hours just to save a few bucks. my sleep is worth more than I would save 
I know a lot of people get a rush from it though. my aunt & uncle are early risers and do it every year. they get some really awesome deals.
