Spinoff to Commack SD- Please tell me about Mt. Sinai SD!
We are ALMOST in contract on a house in Mt. Sinai! I have already researched the SD and gotten some opinions, but a few more can't hurt!!

My friends kids go there... never heard anything bad about it. Her kids love their teachers and it's a great small(er) community. My church is in that area...so a lot of the families that attend my church go to that school district... they are really a great bunch of kids. When we were looking for a house it was def in my top 3 SD choices.

hubby is from there! he loved it! i am from miller place and its the town next door, and never heard anything bad!

Nice district Karen. Hellll, if Kenneth said he would live there then you know it's good lol Mr. Perfection hahaha. He and Jenn both said they liked there and Miller Place. It's also pretty up and coming -- the prices went up a lot in that area during the boom, now they came down to more reasonable, which means in years to come when the market gets better you will have a nice investment on your hands.

no full time kindergarten....my firend lives in the district and the residents vote it down everytime it comes up...

 I'm so glad it passed the test!
We're just waiting for the lawyer we're using through Nassau PBA to call us to sign the contract....

UGH!! I know! That's the only thing I'm not liking right now...
I don't know why the residents keep voting it down!

I would really consider whether or not full time kindergarten is a necessity for your family. i know for ours it was. We would no way be able to work around part time kindergarten

Yes, we've already thought about that. My husband's hours are such that full day kindergarten is not a necessity.
