spinoff to disney changes

we just got home from disney, and we heard that Toontown will be changing as well. (if you remember it used to be Mickeys Birthday Land). We heard the ride etc are coming down.

I did a search and haven't found any rumors of this the only thing I found was one person saying they heard that toontown might close for a month in July for rehab - but someone said it was confirmed as a rumor.

I would be curious as to where you heard this rumor? Cast members are infamous for telling rumors there that don't turn out to be true. There have been rumors for years about a villians area at AK which has never happened. I have heard rumors about the area that once was 20,000 leagues might be revamped for something new. I doubt they would get rid of the character meet and greet area at MK without replacing it with something better.

If there was truth to these rumors you would find them mentioned all over the boards by people who follow that stuff as well as by people who work at the parks.

Maybe they are doing some sort of rehab on the area - not closing it for good - often they close major rides for rehabs for sometimes a month or more.

If you do find something I would be curious as to what they would be replacing it with - but for now I'm not holding my breath on this one.
