Spinoff to do you love weddings post
Do you love First Birthday Parties? This is the new "wedding" with my groupd of friends since most everyone has been married ofr 3 or more years. They now have children. My Dh thinks they are lame. I enjoy kids and seeing my friends so I will always go. Also obviously a very good friend we love to go since we consider those kids like our neices or nephews.

In general I like seeing friends and family, but I don't like babies that are not related to me or children of a close friend. I guess kid parties are lame, but if your friends are there you make your own fun. DH would never go to one for a child we weren't related to.

Yes laid back low keys ones. Not the huge kind where its like a mini Baptism all over again. I enjoy the kids and watching them have fun. 4 years ago I liked weddings, now I like kids birthdays

We go to some of the kids parties we are invited to, but it's more to help the parents. A zillion things need to be done.
