Spinoff to dvd player at a restaurant for children
What if it were interfering with your child and the way you raise your child in an eating environment. In other words...what if say your SIL thinks its okay and you dont so everytime you went out there was a TV just sitting their with your neices/nephews watching. I guess you could stop going out. Also...what about the child at the next table watching a DVD while your child spins around to watch during your nice peaceful meal...Just a thought...

Re: Spinoff to dvd player at a restaurant for children
I don't think it would interfere with my son if someone in a restaurant let their child watch a DVD. Even if he turned around to watch, and I didn't like it, I would turn him around. That is just me though. I am way too busy watching Lance try to stand up in the hichair, throw spoons on the floor, and sream & wiggle, to notice anything else. Hell I would sit him at their table if I thought I could get a moments peace out of it.

There is ALWAYS something more "exciting" to watch at other tables at restaurants.... at least according to DC... If it's not a DVD player, it's a loud group of people, or a person who interacts with DD's beautiful smile, or DS's greetings and questions. Distractions are just a part of life that we have to deal with.

I was thnking the same thing, Id say go sit with your new friends
I agree with the fact that life is full of distractions (and 3 little distractions are my very own )
so I go with the flow. I try my best to say yes or no when we feel and to explain why or why not.
not that it always works

I agree. If my SIL brought one for her DC, I would prefer that my DD sat away from them and didn't watch, but I may let her watch it just that one time if it were going to cause a real problem. I think I probably would not go out with SIL much if it became a regular problem. Am I making sense?
