spinoff to Farmer's Market

I know this is going to sound dumb....but I've never gone and I want to check out the one at Christopher Morley on Wed. What can I expect. What should I NOT get at the supermarket when I do my weekly shopping tomorrow?? How much should I anticipate items to be? Forgive my ignoranceChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: spinoff to Farmer's Market

Make sure you bring cash. I don't know if they take credit/debit cards.

I liked to go just for the experience. I have found the LI ones to be a bit on the pricey side though. (Spoiled when I go Upstate by my parents where things are practically dirt cheap).

I have also enjoyed buying things like fresh bread and local wine from out East.

It's something fun to do though before our garden starts to come in.

P.S. I found the fruit + veggie items they had varied from week to week, so whatever I didn't get there I would get at the supermarket.

I live out East, so that's where I go, but I always get strawberries. salad greens, snap peas; and sometimes we get extra things like foccacia bread, cheeses, flowers, sauces. And yes, cash only.
