Spinoff to haircuts: Moms of little girls

When did you first cut/trim your daughter's hair? Should we just let it go until it gets longer than we want, or are we supposed to trim it every so often?

DD's hair gets swept to one side in the front, and it's getting so long that it doesn't stay out of her eyes very well. But we've been using clips, or I try to just get it to stay tucked behind her ear. DH does NOT want it cut anytime soon and neither do I, but I had mentioned getting that part trimmed.

I don't have a DD but if DS had been a girl I would not have cut his hair.

I just can't put a bow in his hair.Chat Icon

My 3 month old already needs a hair cut just to get the hair that hangs in front out of her eyes, otherwise we want her to have long hair.

We have yet to cut Kaitee's hair. Its now past her shoulders and I still won't cut it for awhile. When is bugs her(by getting in her eyes) I use a hairclip(if she lets me) or I put it in a ponytail. I am not a fan of bangs so We won't give them to her until she wants them.

I feel like DS's hair was getting dry because I use to put sunscreen in it when we went out so his scalp wouldn't burn. So since I bathe them together I figured why not.
If her hair is soft which it looked like it and not knotty then I think you don't need to.

Aw, sunscreen on her head Chat Icon She'll have a full head of hair in no time!! And it will be nice & silky.

Yeah, DD doesn't seem to need the conditioner so I'll skip it for now-- thanks Chat Icon

Ava is 26 months and has never had her hair cut. I'm just not quite sure her hair is ready for it. It's so thin and baby fine, I'm afraid a cut will make her look baldChat Icon

My DD is 2 years and 3 months and hasn't had a cut yet. I don't see cutting it anytime soon. It's finallly growing nicely. I just use Goodie rubber bands and put in pugtails or a pony tail. Clips don't really stay in.
