spinoff to "How much does your baby weigh?"
I don't know if I should be getting concerned at this point (my ped's not) but after 3 pages of kids and their weight, I think Jack is the biggest. I'm so afraid he'll have a weight issue as I did as a kid
We went for his 4 month well visit yesterday and he's 19 lbs (97%ile) and 25 in (50%ile)

you can't stress yourself out over that now..... all kids change, and you can't compare. My husband was a huge baby - always 90th+ percentile, then he was the scrawnies kid and teenager. All babies develop differently. Once he starts moving/crawling/walking, he might go through a period where he slims down. Try not to stress about it... he is healthy!

Don't worry too much about it! Usually kids that are bigger when they're babies grow up too be skinny. Caiden was always in the 97% for weight and height, but I was worried about his weight, but he's now 3 years old and is sooooo skinny. He wears 5T or boys 4-5 but he doesn't have one once of fat on him now. Connor at his 4 month appt last Friday was 17lbs 14oz, almost 18lbs so not that far off from your son. He was longer at 27 1/4" but you can't even notive that really. Your son's weight is fine. It starts leveling off at a point and you'll see that he starts gaining less each visit! Don't worry!!!

Steven is much heavier than most babies also. At his 6 week visit, he was over 12 lbs. Just remember, every baby is different.
I had/have weight issues also and I am soooo scared about Steve having them also. So, I know how you feel

threads like that make alot of parents worried. because its so hard not to compare. but all long as the child is growing at a steady pace with no real drop in weight. its perfectly fine. you have a heatly lil guy there.

If you're ped. is not concerned right now, I wouldn't worry (although, as a Mom, I understand why you would) - plenty of babies are "big"... I know two little boys each almost a year YOUNGER than my son and they are all the same height, close in the weight and some are even wearing clothes bigger than Michael! Those boys are healthy and thriving! Which I'm sure your son is too!
