Spinoff to immunization shots: When was the last time you checked yours?
I have to say that I've never once had my general physican ask if I've had my shots updated.

usually they draw blood titers when you are PG to check your immunizations.....
I know my midwife does.
WHen I worked in healthcare they checked my titers every year. I Have yet to need a booster.

I didn't even know we had to get them after childhood - I don't have half the shots on there.

They checked when i was pregnant
But the full work up was when i went back to college. I got Mumps updated then.

I found out I was not immune to measles anymore(rubiola) when I did my IVF testing

When I went back to school for teaching, I had to have a few shots to be admitted to Suffolk CC.

2003 I had a complete work-up, including determining my titers....
very few people get hep a shots.... I thought, frankly, that I was one of the rare ones who were immunized
In a couple years, I need a tetanus booster..... oh, I should add that I'm fairly certain that colleges only require certain vaccinations... so you shouldn't depend upon university enrolment to keep you current....
