Spinoff to Just For Fun!
I posted to that board, but I wanted to let you ladies know that I am so glad for this board, in reading all the posts about the great things the Aunts/Sisters are doing on this board has made me realize how much more time I would like to spend my niece and nephews!!
I'm booking dates tonight!!!

I agree, best of all World's! Plus you get to spoil them AND give them back at the end of the day/weekend! 
DH does't have any on his side so we get to put all our time and $$$ into my sister's brood. He even asks to take them for things now!!

we don't live close to my nephews, but we do have friends with a 5 year old nearby...I am going to invite her, and her alone, for a kitty and cooking day ... she always cooks with us when she is here

i baby sat on saturday and had a good day with my niece and nephew. my niece has seriously curly hair and i straightened it for her --- you'd think she'd just won the Miss America pagaent she was so excited.

Spending time with nieces and nephews is alot of fun! best of both worlds, IMHO. we just had our nieces over for the weekend and we had a blast with them. we made cupcakes with pink icing, made art projects went to the park and came home and made ice cream sundaes - only to fall asleep in the middle of mary poppins when my sister in law came. it was great. so get that planner out girl and set up some dates - you'll really enjoy it!

If you really want something like that you should look into big brothers big sisters. My SIL does it and she loves her little sister. They do a lot together, and she gets to hand her back.
