Spinoff to mommies of crawlers
Ds is starting to rock back and forth which means he might be crawling very soon. My mom and MIl watch him during the day. Do I have to tell them to babyproof there house as well?

I would buy the stuff and do it for them to the level i was comfy with. I wouldn't tell them or expect them to do it themselves. But that's just me

you might have some time. DD has been rocking back and forth with a vegeance for weeks - she can crawl maybe for 10 seconds and then she's flat on her stomach. She's still very stop/start.
