Spinoff to my overwhelmed post: For those who have a cleaning lady and a SMALL budget

How often does she come and how much does she charges? Does she charge per room/day, etc? How long does she stay?

$60 and comes every other wk.

I "was" going to get a cleaning lady but now it's out of the question.

She said the first time she would clean would charge hourly b/c she'd have to see how long it would take. Of course it depends on the size of your house. For my house- upstairs and down would be a total of 3 hours and she would charge me $75. This would be bi weekly.
It's so worth it but it's really not in the budget.

Our cleaning lady comes every three weeks and charges 65 but we are in NJ.

My cleaning lady comes every other week. She charges $75. I have a four bedroom/ 3 bath victorian.

My cleaning lady charges $65 every two weeks. My house is a small, one-level ranch. One bathroom, 3 bedrooms...

I have a four bedroom/2bath colonial.

They were going to charge me 70 every other week but my genius mother said to them "We'll pay 80" - so now I pay 80 every other week.

I have a two bedroom (technically 3, but one is used as storage) apartment which is as large as my friends houses. The lady I use(d) charged $50 every two weeks. It was a sanity saver for me. I don't use her right now since I am unemployed, but my mom does and I just saw her yesterday at my moms. I told her I was very excited to go back to work in about a month or so, just so I can have her back. I never liked cleaning to begin with, work on top of it was just a killer. She does everything I need and more.

I just canceled mine, sadly.

She charged $100 and came every other week. I live in a 1100 sqft 2BR/2 Bath apt-- pretty steep for the amount of space we have, but we are in an urban area.

$80/day (typically 4 hours give or take) for my shoebox of a place in jersey. i have her come every other week.

lately i haven't been thrilled with the cleaning (i think she's slacking and breaking too many things) and am considering switching to someone else come the fall. i use a service as well and would prefer to pay someone directly to avoid the "middle man/woman".

do it do it do it!

even if it's only for a few months just to get you into a new groove...it got me motivated to keep up with things and figure out ways to become more efficient and organized (although i'm still working on the latter )
