Spinoff to my own post: DOUBLE strollers
Please post your RAVES about double strollers. I think a triple might be out of the question...so I am looking for a double to accomodate a 2 yr old and an infant that is EASY to push.
TIA!

Re: Spinoff to my own post: DOUBLE strollers
I have yet to find the perfect double stroller.
I have... Sit & Stand Graco Duo Glider Combi Double Deluxe Jeep Double Umbrella
I use the Due Glider the most. It's heavy and a little awkward but it has a lot of basket space and is easy to push around.
I do love the Combi but I have only used it for walks. It's easy to push but the baskets are small and it wouldn't work for a newborn.
Sit & Stand - I thought it was hard to push and maneuver because the carseat is in the front. I didn't particularly like it.
I have seen the Phil & Ted and people rave about them but I don't like where the baby is positioned...Almost feels like they are too close to the ground.

Re: Spinoff to my own post: DOUBLE strollers
Loved my Phil & Teds, but now my older DS wants to walk so I sold it. I have a sit n stand as well, but it's not quite as easy to push and I would never use it for walks. The nice thing about the sit n stand is that you can use a car seat with it and is really the only reason I bought it.

Re: Spinoff to my own post: DOUBLE strollers
I have the sit & stand with the seat in the back that comes out later. i put the carseat in the BACK seat so my 2 1/2 year old can sit in the front. it straps in nicely with my snugride. it's heavy to push but easy to fold and will be useful later on. it's very affordable and at 2 1/2, DD will not be in a stroller for much longer. i wanted a double jogger, but it wasn't worth the expense.

I freaking LOVE my Phil and Ted sport buggy. It is SUPER easy to maneuver and very lightweight. I have a 23 month old and a 6 month old.

I did the same thing except between my Mountain Buggy Urban double and Sit-n-stand I had a Graco Quattro Duo which I used for about 10 months. I sold the Mountain Buggy because the folding of it was terrible and it didn't lock. Now like LuvMy2Girls, I wish I didn't sell it because DS is now 3 and actually will ask to sit in a stroller and the sit-n-stand STINKS for walks outside. Now, I am in the market for a double stroller but I don't want to spend to much money.
I really wanted the Zooper Tango and I am kicking myself for not getting it. I think I would have it kept it but I didn't get it because I couldn't find a store that carried it. It also accepted Graco and Peg infant carriers.

Re: Spinoff to my own post: DOUBLE strollers
i think i may have found my ALMOST PERFECT stroller....
cons: its heavy to lift & the snack tray & infant carrier attachment needs to be removed before the stroller closes.
we just bought the Valco Tri Mode Limited Edition Boy meets Girl Jogging Stroller
Boy Meets Girl
DS will be 23 months when DD is born.
Its so easy to maneuver.
my friend is also giving me her sit and stand when her daughter is done with it... which will probably be by Sept.

ITA. It maneuvers pretty well for a double stroller and is easy to get in and out of doors or tight spaces.

I also have the Graco duo glider. It is really heavy but it is so easy to maneuver and the car seat just clicks right in, like a snap and go.
I also have a double jogger. I have the one by InStyle. It is heavy to lift in and out of the car and doesn't fit through all doorways but it is so easy to push and feels so light when you are using it. People are shocked by how easy it is to push

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my bumbleride indie twin......It's a bit heavy and does not fit easily into a car trunk....but it is the nicest smoothest stroller i've ever pushed. It's also expensive...but so worth the money! It's easy to fold up and open the only thing I would say negatively is that it's on the heavier side.

Re: Spinoff to my own post: DOUBLE strollers
I couldn't afford the high end strollers so I didn't even consider them.
We have the Chicco Tevi and I love it!!!!!!! Andrew will be 3 and Alexa was born in Feb.
You can't use the carseat but since day one I just transfered her out with no problems!!! I tried out the sit n stand but really didn't like it. I also tried out the Duo but it was wayyy too heavy.
The Chicco is lightweight, both seats fold all the way back, the underneath is great, it steers very well.
When she was very little I used the carseat head support thing in it and it worked perfect.
I highly rec this stroller. And it fits between doors and racks in stores and folds super easy and is light.
I love it

Re: Spinoff to my own post: DOUBLE strollers
I just got the Baby Jogger city mini and so far I love it! Not too heavy, folds easy, the kids are comfortable, it has a million attachment accessories (sold separately though).
The only con so far is that once it folds, there's nothing that hold it together.

Re: Spinoff to my own post: DOUBLE strollers
I got this one my sister has the same one but a different pattern and loves it. So I got this one and I couldn't beat the price. It was almost half the price of BRU. It is at Albeebaby.com
ETA: my sister used her's with a 2.5 year old and a new born. Her kids are now 3 and 8 months and they still use it.

ITA - this is the stroller I got for DD and the . It is a jogger too - and DD who doesn't like strollers seems to be very comfortable in it when we tried it at the store.
I also got the Deluxe sit and stand - from one step ahead that has the 2nd seat - for shopping and errands. You can remove the rear seat and it becomes a sit and stand. I have meet and know several moms who have this one and love it - in fact a friend of mine has 3 kids and puts the youngest in the front and the two older kids share the jump seat.
