Spinoff to my post: Those that got Elmo Live
Is it dying yet, like mine? As I said in my other post, it's dying mid-sentence, ALWAYS. The only time it's ok is during short action, like when you squeeze his nose. But dancing, stories, etc...he cuts off mid-sentence and freezes where he is. We changed batteries and everything, still happening...and it's happening to my friend's Elmo too 
With the cost of this darn thing, I'm livid

Has not happened to ours. Not sure how long Elmo is going to survive though because DD beats the crap out of him.

Sorry to hijack...but is anyone who bought the Elmo Live willing to send me their receipt? I have one that I bought on Amazon and they won't take it back because it was after 30 days. Now I am stuck with it, because nobody will take it without a receipt I just really want to get a store credit to any store that sells them...but rather not be stuck with an extra Elmo If anyone could help me out, FM me.

We've replaced the batteries twice already, hoping that was it. They're Energizers from a big package from Costco, we just got them, so I'm doubtful it's the batteries.
I would have shared my receipt but it was a gift from my mom-- sorry

Kim - I have to take the 2nd one back to Target (ha- yeah, I was gonna make a ton on ebay - ha!) but then I can send you the receipt (I bought 2 obv.)
No, my Elmo is fine because as I mentioned, DD ignores him.
As a matter of fact, this afternoon I tried to get her to play with him and she immediately turned him over to look for the off switch!!

That would be fabulous if you could send it to me when you are done with using it! Target would not take it back without a receipt because it was over $35 (You can make 2 returns a year without a receipt, but only for items under $35 ).

Take it to BJs... they sell them and give credits if you dont have a receipt... just say it was a gift!
My MIL bought one for DD a while ago- so far it is still fine...
