Spinoff to Pickles dog post--anyone have a barker?

You all know Fred, most of you just from pictures. He is the BEST dog (lazy, snuggles with us, extremely smart)---unless we have company. When anyone comes over he goes crazy barking and will not stop and he is LOUD. We usually cant enjoy having people over because it is a constant battle with him and the ONLY thing that works is putting him on a leash.

Obviously I wont be able to carry a leash and a baby around when we have company after he/she is born.

We have done bark busters when he was a puppy and it worked wonders with everything except the barking.

Anyone know what Caesar would do in this case? HAHA. I have watched numerous episodes but none with this problem.

TIA

I think I have seen Ceasar train dogs with barking issues, does NGC have episodes you can watch online?

I have a barker - When people come or go she freaks and runs around the house like a mad lunatic - She's also hard to catch b/c she's an 8 lb Yorkie - Ignoring her doesn't work, what DOES work is starring her down getting her attention, making her sit and telling her over and over "QUIET" - Sometimes I'll grab her collar and lightly tug at it while telling her "QUIET" - once she calms down I giver her a cookie and let her say "hello" to whoever has walked in. -
Obviously you can't do that WITH a baby in your arms, but maybe you can start training him now?
