Spinoff to powdered formula...
There are SO many different types out there and I'm so confused.
What kind do you use?

Re: Spinoff to powdered formula...
I use Similac Advanced w/Iron because that's what they gave us in the hospital and it's worked, so we haven't had the need to change.

Re: Spinoff to powdered formula...
I use RTF, but we are on Similac Advanced w/ iron, which is what both the hospital and my peds office recommends.

Re: Spinoff to powdered formula...
With Gabriella, I used whatever we had (just for supplementing) and ended up on Target Formula and Gianni we had to use Goodstart and now we are in the process of switching over to Target brand.

Re: Spinoff to powdered formula...
Enfamil Prosobee with Lipil (soy based, not milk based since DH is lactose intolerance and she was SO gassy on the Enfamil with Iron)

Re: Spinoff to powdered formula...
We use Good Start but it really is a trial and error. Your hospital will start you on one kind and if it works most people will stay on it, but if your baby is gassy or colicy you might want to change to something else. It's very easy to go online for ANY of them and sign up for coupons.

Re: Spinoff to powdered formula...
Now he's on Similac Insomil Advance Soy Formula. It was trial and error for us also during the first 3 months. We started out with Enfamil Lipil w/Iron bc that's what the hospital used.

Re: Spinoff to powdered formula...
It's definitely trial and error. Christopher went from Enfamil Lipil, to Prosobee, to Gentlease, which is the best for him. It's all about your baby's needs. Your baby could have reflux or a milk allergy and need a specific formula. That's why you shouldn't really go buying formula in advance. I had bought a bunch that I never used.

Re: Spinoff to powdered formula...
I mostly BF but I do use formula for his cereal and when we are out. I use Similac Advance with Iron. We tried Enfamil but he didn't like it.
