spinoff to regi's post about the lab
what do they mean by typical "lab" personality? I am interested in getting lab when we get a house and I want to know what is their personality?
Do golden retrievers much different?

Our breeder told us -- If you want a guard dog, get your Lab a German Shepard buddy!!
Labs need plenty of excercise or they tend to get obese.
They are gentle, and sooo tolerant with children. I have never, ever seen my lab growl at anyone. They love the water, and to play fetch.
He's the best dog I have ever had.
