Spinoff to sleeping in bed - How can doggies breathe under the covers?

Anyone else worry about this? How can they breathe? I stick my finger under the nose to feel the warm air, lol.

Can that suffocate them?

Cooper does this too and he has a short pushed in face to begin with. I always worried about it, but then I realized that if he couldn't breath, he would just move.... I dont' think a dog would allow itself to suffocate. I'm sure your furbabies are fine. Chat Icon

Misty sleeps at the bottom of the bed, between my legs under covers and sheets (tucked in at bottom) and has no problem.
So, I would assume they can - I think they do it for the warmth!

My cat always sleeps under the covers in our spare bedroom - even when its 90 degrees out. I have no idea why he likes that!

Sandy does this to. When we first started to let you do this I would wake up all the time and check to see if she was breathing. She loves being all the way down underth covers.

Tiny goes under the covers by our feet. If we move in the middle of the night and disturb him, he growls at us.

My little cat likes to make a tent for herself under the covers, even in the summer. I check on her sometimes...She is fine under there, if she couldnt breathe, Im sure she would move.

My sister's dog does this. When we house sat for them, it freaked me out because whenever I would try to move the dog b/c I thought she would suffocate, she would growl. I didn't sleep that night b/c I really thought the dog would die. Apparently, after 9 years, the dog sleeps like that every night. Chat Icon

Tiger always gets under the blankets...when he gets how he will start to pant, and I pull the blanket out from his face so it sticks out

Where can I get that onesie?
Feebi is the same way. We got her a sleeping bag that she absolutely loves. She crawls all the way to the bottom of the bag and cries until we zip it up.
