Spinoff to Stefanie's Post: I will be a preggo Bridesmaid too...
I will be a Preggo Bridesmaid in October in a family member's wedding. I will be about 5 and 1/2 months pregnant.
I already ordered the dress in my pre-pregnancy size.
DH and I don't want to tell anyone in our families until we are well past the 3 month mark because of a prior loss.
Should I call the bridal shop where the dress was purchased and let them know? Do you think they could be trusted to keep it a secret from the bride? Should I wait until I am past the 3 month mark to even call them?
WWYD?
Thank you!!!!!

If you just ordered it, I would tell them only because once they come in, it will be too late. You just do not know how quickly they will arrive. Plus, I don't recall as a bride, the bridal shop sharing me with everyone's sizes. You can just ask them not to say anything - by the time you all go back in, you will be past the 3-month mark! Congratulations to you!!

I am 17wk2d and I'll be in a wedding in September. I'll be 7months at the time of the wedding. We ordered our bridesmaids dresses before I got my BFP. I called the bridal shop and they wouldn't change my size because they already cut the material. I just ordered extra material and I'll make a seamstress make my dress bigger come September.
Best of luck ladies!

You need to call and change the size. I wouldn't tell them about your being pregnant just in case, but if they are ordering the dress, there may not be enough time to get another one. I am going throught the same thing with my sisters wedding in oct (about 1 weeks after I am due) so I ordered one extra big and plan on getting a good seamstress Good luck

But I am a little nervous to pay to switch it to a maternity dress and have another miscarriage...
ETA: I think I like the idea of just getting a larger size or more material better. Thanks girls!!!

I'm in a wedding next week, but I'm not showing much so it's not a big deal.
I'm in my sister's wedding 10/31 and I'll be 7 months. We already ordered extra material, I won't be huge, my sister and mom didn't pop until end of 8th month.

I will be 7 mo pregnant when I am a bridesmaid, so I definitely couldn't order a pre-pregnancy size! I am holding off and ordering my dress next month to get a little bit better idea of what size I might need. I told my friend (the bride) when I was 12 weeks pregnant.

what ever you do don't go to Burtons in Melville.
I'm in a wedding this weekend, there was one other bridesmaid that is due at the same time as me and she had to drop out because Burtons did such a terrible job.
