Spinoff to studs... random q
Do your studs "match" the shap of your engagement ring.
i.e - you have a princess cut diamond ring and princess cut diamond stud earrings...
I am going to ask for studs but I am torn on what shape I should get.

My e-ring is a round solitare. I prefer round diamonds, I have about 3 prs of diamond studs and they are all round.

No my dia studs are round and my e-ring is cushion cut.
I think it depends what your preference is. If you want to match your ering then go for it.

My e-ring is a round diamond and my earrings are princess cut. My husband wants to buy me new round cut diamond earrings for my birthday and I will let him.

I have both. My e ring is asscher and I have both round and asscher studs.
I don't think it has to match. Round studs are always classic.

No. I have a princess cut e-ring & round studs. Although I always wear the earrings with a diamond jacket that makes them look like a snowflake.

it just so happens both of mine are round but i wouldn't try to match them i really don't think anyone would notice, just get whatever shape you like

Thanks for your opionions. I want round even though my ring is rectangularish. For some ABSURD reason, my DH who could care less about anything related to fashion, thinks he should get me princess.
