spinoff to Tilde's post - was MIL as pushy, etc with your 2nd child?
was she better, worse, or the same?
or, are you not really sure -- but you know that *you* took charge more easily?
I really don't think I will have the same issues as I did the first time, because I feel a bit more like the pack-leader of my lion den or something. Does that make sense?
wondering what your experiences were/are.

I am TRULY blessed as far as in-laws go. I'm not super close to them like I think of them as my parents, but they do not intrude - EVER. I think they get it - they were parents once too.
ETA: Well, they still are, but you get my drift

My MIL is much more hands off with #2. I think it's a combination of me just doing what I want and not feeling like she's trying to take control, and her having more confidence in my parenting. We're also closer now, so I feel more comfortable taking charge when I need to.
