Nope. I love a bargain and buy mostly sale/clearance stuff for the baby anyway. No one should pay retail, ever!

No. It's the thought that counts to begin with.
Agreed. Any gift received is accepted graciously and with thanks. people are way too materialistic. And really is a Disney tea set going to be a family heirloom anyway?

There is a difference between cheap & thrifty - and to me it's the thought.
It's the thought behind the gift, not the price of the gift. If you thought my kid would love something & bought it on clearance, I'd be glad you saved the money. If you scoured & limited yourself to the clearance racks to find just the right gift, I'd think you were thrifty & kudos to you for putting in even more effort.
If you pick something off the clearance rack solely because it was on the clearance rack & not putting any thought into the recipient & whether they'd like the gift, I'd say you were cheap.

No i definitly would not feel offended. I'm a big clearance shopper and discount coupon shopper and always have been. For me i pick a dollar amount that i would spend per child and usually wind up with tons of stuff for them.

I would never feel offended. Nobody should be paying full price!
I would only be a little annoyed if the gift was clearly thoughtless and inappropriate (i.e. age-inappropriate, etc) and it was obvious that the giver had grabbed the first thing off the clearance rack or just grabbed the last thing available in her "gift stash" at home.
