Spinoff to transitioning from Crib when you have another baby

When you transitioned your child from a crib to a bed in order to have the nursery for the next baby, did you change the nursery at all? Redo the paint, etc? We are not TTC yet, but I am wondering if I have another girl, if I want to leave the nursery as is or repaint etc? I love the room, but maybe I associate it too much with DD and the next baby should have their own "theme".

Another option is to keep DD in her room and just move the furniture, but the room she is in is really the better nursery.

Can't answer for myself but all of my BTDT friends/family either painted a gender neutral color to begin with and then picked a girl or boy themed bedding/accessories for each child or, they just happened to have two of the same gender and kept the nusery the same pretty much the same for #1 and #2.

We are switching Andrew over to the bigger room and I will be doing his new room a firetruck theme. Then the bedroom he is in now will be a nursery. It is small so it looks better as a nursery. When we get PG again, then we will redo that room.
