Spinoff to traveling post
I will be travelling with DD alone at the end of the month. I plan on bringing a stroller up to the gate, but not the carseat (I can't carry both myself). DD will sit on my lap during the flight. I have the Graco Metrolite stroller...it's kinda big I think...should I bring it, or should I get a cheap unbrella stroller for my trip? I'm thinking I will have my diaper bag and 1 other bag to carry on, so they fit in the basket on my stroller...which makes it easier to carry them...but I'm worried that the stroller is too big and it will get ruined when I check it at the gate?

They check wheelchairs, and double strollers, so yours is definitely not considered "huge" by airline standards.... I would take whichever you would be more comfortable with at your destination. Don't base the decision on the flight alone. They can definitely deal with a stroller of any size.
