Spinoff to TV watching - play time
Just curious how much interactive play time you have with your child. I am off for the summer, and I didn't realize how much down time we would have. As an newborn she slept and ate so much, now I have 3 hours or so in between naps to entertain her. If it's a rainy day I feel like she looks at me and is bored to tears!
I sit with her while she crawls around and explores her toys, but it doesn't always feel very natural for me to "play" all day.
How is it with your DC? My DD is almost 1 year.

Im in the same boat as you. I just make an effort to get on the floor with her and do things. I also talk to her (like an adult) so I feel like she is exposed to words and language and not just toys.
