spinoff to weight - car seat dilemma
I know they say wait until the baby is 20lbs. to turn the car seat around...but I feel like Talia is too old to be rear facing. It's boring for her so she get really crazed after only 5 minutes in the car. Am I the worst mom ever if I turn her around?? (she is 19 lbs on the dot as of today).
eta: I also feel like it is tight for her sitting backwards - like there is no room for her feet.

You wouldn't be the worst mom
If it were me, i wouldn't as much as i would have to urge too switch her.
They are just soo much safer rear facing. I would keep my DD rear facing for as long as possible.

Same for me too, dirty shoes on the backs of my seat. Dh wants her to take her shoes off when she starts walking before putting her int he car

Re: spinoff to weight - car seat dilemma
How old is she? My daughter is 19.5 months, 27 pounds and in the 75th percentile for height, but still rear facing in a Britax Boulevard.
Most babies don't site with legs straight on your couch, so I don't think its the car seat thats keeping the legs bent. Thats whats comfy.
I think worst mom ever is a bit of an overstatement. Not putting her in any carseat would qualify for that. Turning her a bit early is just adding marginal addition risk in the event of an accident.

I'm not doing it, to me it's just not worth the risk. I plan to keep her rear facing as long as possible. She doesn't complain so it's not an issue. Why not ask you pediatrician what they think?
