Spinoff to what you wear on your feet at home on FHF board
Bear with me on this. I have been considering posting this for a while but didn't want to come across as petty or critical...
We do not wear shoes in the house. We have a mudroom where we take our shoes off and switch into our indoor shoes (slippers/flip flops). When my SIL (our babysitter) started minding our DD she brought slippers but I never saw her wearing them. She comes in through the front door in her sneakers and doesn't take them off. A few weeks ago I was buying my Summer in-the-house flip-flops and I bought a pair for her and she was thrilled that I thought to get her a pair. She never wore them other than one day last week when she came into the house wearing them. Ever since she has shown up wearing her sneakers and no sign of the flip-flops (I thought she would keep them at our house but she must have taken them home). It has been raining every day and it drives me nuts that my floors are getting so dirty. I work hard to pay for my cleaning lady and last night, 2 days since the house was cleaned, I had to wash the kitchen floor and it was filthy.
I'm concerned that soon my DD will be crawling and the floors will be dirty.
Seriously, I know this is a small problem in the greater scheme of things, and my SIL is amazing with our DD. Would you just suck it up and clean the floors every night or would you say something?

Ditto. Especially since you bought her appropriate footwear, and she's over a lot. We have a no-shoes house, but I don't make party guests, or rare guests take their shoes off, but people who are over regularly know the deal.

I agree with others.
Say something.
Be nice maybe she didn't but the two and two together. But yep I'd say something.

have you flat out told her those are the rules? if you have you may need to review them again.
your house your rules, and if she can't abide by them, then you need to find someone else

If you arent a "shoes off" household, it wouldnt occur to her that she SHOULD take her shoes off.
Just politely mention it to her. I'm sure she will oblige.
When I'm home I take my shoes off (kinda my "ahh..im home" thing), but I wouldnt think to take them off when babysitting at someone's house.

I am not a shoes off house and honestly unless someone specifically asked me to remove my shoes I would not think of it on my own.

I didn't use the term "rules" but I did explain when I bought the flip-flops that they are to wear inside because I thought her slippers would be too warm this time of the year.
She's at our house every day but she will be there for a few hours tomorrow while I will be home. I will see if I can gently get bring it up again. I am very mindful of speaking nicely because she is DH's sister and I don't want to offend.
