Spinoff: What is your cleaning ritual?

From Mon-Friday, I vacuum the bedroom, and living room every other day. On the days I do not vacuum, I use the Swiffer Flick.

I clean the bathrooms on Weds, and Sundays. Complete shower cleaning, scrub tiles and tub, clean the floor.

The kitchen is cleaned pretty much every night. (Counters, stove, kitchen table, sink). I scrub the floor once a week (Saturday).

Spare bedrooms get dusted twice a week, and vacuumed twice a week, since they are never lived in.

Windows are done once a week (Sundays).

Okay, here's my OCD list


Daily
Make the bed
Put dishes in dishwasher
Go through mail
Empty garbage
Wipe down counters
Pick up around apartment

Weekly
Thoroughly clean the bathroom
Thoroughly clean the kitchen
Dust furniture
Vacuum rugs and floors
Laundry
Iron
Water plants

Every Other Week
Do weekly work PLUS
Mop hard floors
Vacuum furniture
Use furniture polish on furniture and on kitchen cabinets

Monthly (Add one to the weekly list every week)
Clean inside of windows and outside of windows
Clean mirrors, picture frames and other glass surfaces (door knobs, too)
Clean the stove
Clean the inside of the refrigerator
Vacuum along baseboards/ledges/under furniture
Dust blinds

Periodically
Vacuum behind frig and coils
Clean any filters
Dust chandeliers
Baking soda/vinegar in drains
Wash shower curtain liner
Change batteries in smoke detector (March/October)
Dust top of cabinets

I need you to come to my house! I thought I was good.

I have a cleaning lady come over other week and the week she does not come, I still vacuum, wipe down the bathrooms and kitchen!

Our cleaning woman comes every other Thursday. I love walking in the house after work and everything sparkles and is in place.

I clean in between almost every day though. The usual stuff, putting things away, dishes, wipe down the bathroom, change the litter, vacuum, take out the garbage, laundry..etc.

Our schedules are so that we can't just pick a day to do it or if we tried that it would never get done. So we do it as it goes.

Thank G*D for my cleaning woman. I love her.

I used to have a schedule like yours, but I can't seem to do it anymore.

I just broke down and hired a cleaning service. They start tomorrow.

I just couldn't keep up with everything. I know some of it is 1st trimester fatigue, but I just feel like I spend half my life cleaning and it's not worth it.

We'll see how it goes. I'm not one who likes other people touching my stuff!!

Well, since Kaylee was born I haven't exactly been as strict, but usually, after Christopher goes to bed I:

-Clean up toys
-Do laundry if neccessary
-vacuum
-clear the sink (run the dishwasher if neccessary)
-Clean the counters
-Mop the floors if neccessary

Usually once a week I dust and organize the computer desks and wash the bed sheets.

*make the bed everyday
*clean the kitchen daily
*lightly clean the bathroom daily
*sweep everyday
*laundry every thursday night
*major cleaning takes place on friday night such as full bathroom disinfecting, vacumming everywhere, wiping down walls and cleaning all floors.

my DH is currently fighting brain cancer, so he CANNOT get sick. so i have become a major clean freak. every cleaner i buy is antibacterial

Everyday, no dishes in sink, wipe down counters and clean the sink..Empty garbage and "Straighten up".
I vacuum 2-3x a week (I try my best)..Cat hair.
DH cleans the litter box every night.
I dust at least once a week.
Laundry, every other day.
DH is off tomorrow and Tuesday..I already hinted to him there's going to be a "List".
Oh, bathrooms..Straighten up everyday..Good scrubbing on the weekends.
