My husband can deduct his laundry expenses, postage, etc. Totally didn't know about that one. The clothes you drop off at the bins in front of the churches, etc.? Totally deductible!

My brother can deduct his hair cuts since it's considered part of his uniform.

Depends upon your profession.
I once had a dress code. I worked in a Catholic school and HAD to wear a skirt. I could deduct all skirts, slips, hosiery.
Mileage to the RE's office like Donna said. It really adds up.
Now I teach in public and wear pants every day

I learned this last year...did you know that the money you pay to an accountant or turbo-tax to prepare your taxes...is deductible? So...what I paid in 2005 to have my taxes done for 2004, I was able to use as a deduction on my 2005 return. Get a receipt from your accountant!

ANYTHING related to work....like cell phone bill
medical bills, even with insurance (it has to be a certain percentage of your income)
GIRL SCOUT COOKIES and anything bought from boy scouts, the magazine subscriptions from school kids (or anything they are selling)
we forgot to deduct the $200 I paid the animal rescue orgnization when we adopted our puggle
ETA: if you work in daycare, whatever cost you pay for your own child! My SIL is a 2 day a week teacher of 2 yr olds and my 4 yr old nephew goes to class the days she works...well his tuition is considered day care!
