He pays most of the paper bills, while I do online bills... the money we use is from our joint account for all bills.

I do everything. DH gets an allowance weekly....when it's gone, it's gone. He doesn't have access to more money.

since we are not living together yet, we each pay our own. once we are married, we'll have one joint checking acct from which all bills will be paid

We are starting this this month too! He has more of the issue...but I decided to do it with him so I dont look like his Mommy versus his wife!

We have a joint acct. So its our money. Our combined bills like electric get paid usually by him cause they are in his name.

i pay mine, he pays his, and then we're each responsible for specific 'joint' bills (he pays certain ones and i pay others)

He writes the checks for joint bills and the stuff he puts on his cc (which, right now are really only things for the house). I pay my cc bills (which are also primarily things for the house.) I also pay my student loan. Most of our money's in our joint account.

darren physically pays all the bills. I am sooo embarrassed to admit that I have become one of those women who would be screwed if her hubby died. I wouldn't even know where to go to pay some of the bills.

My DW pays her Jeep, the car insurance for both cars, and the electric.
I pay for everything else which includes my Audi and the mortgage and taxes.

This is what we have right now. For instance, I pay rent and insurance while he pays for groceries, cable/tv/phone, storage and other misc. expenses. However, and primarily for tax purposes right now, we have sep. accounts. Soon, we'll do the joint checking thing and it will be alot easier. But for now, we do it this way and basically, I pay them while he sits on the couch and says "Okay,

He pays: (joint bills) rent, garage, car payments, car insurance, renters insurance and dry cleaners; (his bills) his AMEX and cell phone
I pay: (joint bills) electric/gas, phone bill - local and long distance, cable, Medco (we get 3 months worth of any medicine we take daily, like BC- it goes on my CC), health insurance (I have it on my work - his s*cks); (my bills) credit cards, cell phone
We both put money into the joint account and pay the joint bills from there (I pay for my CC and cell phone from my checking - no other reason than that is where my direct deposit goes). I pay all the online bills and he pays all the bills where we get an actual bill.
We never discussed it, it just kind of happened that way

I pay all the bills, whether on line or checks but we look them over together. Otherwise, he is asking where did the $$ go? So, I make it a point to show him all our bills.
