I will be using a women for one day next year and she is charging $70 a day..seems sort of high but she comes highly recommended and she will only have my DD and another little girl who will be 2.5.

I used an in home day care, and she only watched teacher's children. If I remember correctly from your other post, this will be the situation, right? She charged me $6 an hour, which worked out to about $200-250 a week, depending on the week.

I watch two little boys in my house from 7:30 to 3:30. One of them is here on Mon-Wed-Fri and she pays $60/day. The other one is here Mon-Thurs and she pays $85/day. Long story about why she is paying $85 but I am not complaining........it's good money!

We are interviewing for a PT nanny to come to our house to watch our son. Most of them have been asking for $13-$15 per hour.

Re: Spinoff...What is the going rate for home childcare?

I am currently paying $12/hour for in home daycare....Yeah I think it's a bit high but I just keep reminding myself...

its 1 on 1 attention
Askes me to leave DD's laundry, dishes to put away, etc - things to do to help me out while DD is napping.

Will call sporatically during the day to give me an update.

and absolutely adores DD

She really is a dream come true.

ITA! It's totally worth it when peace of mind comes with trusting someone with your most prized possession!

I pay $10 p/h for DD (2 years old)
It is my friends home with her daughter (4y/o) and son, who is also my daughters age.
All food/snacks provided.
I drop her off usually 7:30-4 pm
with DH's schedule though we only need her 1-2 days per week.Chat Icon
