Spirit Week ideas needed
Hey! We need some ideas for our Middle School spirit week - each day should have a different theme, nothing too crazy.
In the past, we've done:
pajama day
wacky wardrobe day
crazy hat day
red/white day (school colors)
Looking for some different ideas this year. Our building is grades 5-8
Any suggestions?

career day...you dress like what you aspire to be
college day..just wear a college shirt

Multiplicity day dress like twins but get a bunch of students to look the same

We do a swap day. We have teachers dress like students and students dress like teachers. The kids love it!!

preppy day
70s day

At my school, we do the following for spirit week:
Tuesday - Object Day based on the grade theme...for example: Film Freshmen carried around a reel of film with them. Each object needs to be made by the class and can not be bought.
This is also Community Day. In the past, t hey have had students bring in coats for the needy. Whichever class brings in the most gets points for it. This year, they are doing canned foods.
Wednesday: Costume Day - each class gets dressed up based on their theme
Thursday: Color Day - each class dresses in their designated color.
Friday: School Spirit Day - everyone dresses in school colors.
Additionally, the entire week is "Suck Up Week," where all the students suck up to the teachers to win points. Last year, I got a dry erase marker from the juniors, supplies to build a snowman from the "snowed in seniors". The senior class also usually has a breakfast for the teachers on Thursday.
On Wednesday night, the classes decorate their designated hallways according to their theme.
All week, we also have penny wars, where the different grades bring in as many pennies that they can and the money gets donated to a charity.

V-I have to tell you, I hate spirit week. They kids act like it's Halloween all week and it's so disruptive. Maybe narrow it down to 2 days. And you know me, I'm not a wet blanket at all, but I just can't get my job done during that week. Who is the coordinator anyway? You can FM me that info.

When I was in HS, we had a theme for each grade during spirit week and then there was one day where you dressed to go along with the theme. I don't remember any of the themes except once we did different decades
