splitting holidays vent :-(
ugh! i hate splitting holidays now that we're married!
DHs parents live near us, but the rest of his family is 5 hours away out in PA, so they do all holidays out there. now, when we go out there for thanksgiving, we have to stay at DHs grandmas house. problem is, she doesn't let dogs in her house, so we can't take our dog with us. SO... tuesday night, we have to drive an hour to meet my parents to give them our dog for a few days. THEN, wednesday afternoon, we have to drive 5 horus out to PA. we stay out there for a couple days, THEN have to drive 3 1/2 hours to my parents house to pick up our dog and see them for a little bit, THEN drive 2 hours from my parents back home!!
UGH! its just so annoying that our families don't live closer together! and i feel bad even complaining because thanksgiving is the one holiday that DH wants to go to see his famly. all other holidays we have with my family... but even this one holliday is such a hassle, and really is making me not enjoy thanksgiving! i can't even imagine having to do this with kids in a few years!

UGH...i hate the splitting of the holidays and the driving...
