Spotting &/or bleeding
For those of you who bled, how long did it last? Was everything ok when it stopped?
I know sometimes this is normal, but SIL is bleeding for a few days now. Dr. said he saw 2 egg sacks and one baby they saw the heartbeat, but couldn't detect anything in the other. We're all a little nervous for her and praying that her baby is ok.
I spotted in the beginning, but it was just a day or 2 at the most.

I had spotting for several weeks. My whole first tri really. I have placenta previa & I also had a cyst rupture. Me & nugget are fine

My sister bled for a few days as well, and when they checked out her uterus, they saw three sacs. Eventually, the bleeding stopped (it was pretty heavy for a bit) and two of the sacs disappeared.
She is now 4 months pregnant with a healthy baby.

It is probably a vanishing twin which usually poses no threat to the other baby...

I have had brown spotting almost every day now since my bfp...
...but I had two scary episodes of red blood...the first time it wasn't enough to fill a pad, but it was more than a pantyliner could handle! ... that only lasted for 2 days (at week 12). The second time, I woke up in the middle of the night to pee and passed a huge blood clot, like 3 inches long...in the toilet! (Sorry, tmi!)...anyway, I passed another small clot that morning and the bleeding tapered off slowly over 3 days. It was my placenta...my placenta is verly close to my cervix so any little thing can irritate it. The baby is fine.

I had some really light dark brown spotting around my 5th week for 5 days.
It started for me after my 1st internal sonogram and also @ that tiome I had started progesterone suppositories.
I was told it was old blood maybe from the cervix.
Sorry for the TMI

How far along is she?
I know of two people who bled during their first trimester, and both Drs (different drs) tried talking them into D&C. They didn't, they waited to watch the levels. Both turned out to have beautiful healthy babies!

I bled lightly through week 10 of this pregnancy. It stopped and never returned and my baby is growing great!! Good luck to your SIL!!

I bled around Week 8 maybe? It was for two days, first brown, then bright. Everything was fine and it went away as quickly as it came.

Thanks everyone for your responses...
I knew sometime spotting was "normal" or OK. Of course, SIL & hubby- along w/ all of us are really worried and praying for her. I"m sure hearing your responses will ease her mind just a tad... (maybe)
OH- Jill- she's very early on, 7 weeks tomorrow.
