Spotting after cancelled IUI
Hello,
My IUI was cancelled last week due to high e2 levels and too many eggs. I have to go for blood on Friday to determine if I o'd on my own.
I just started spotting. What does this mean? Could it be due to ovulation, or is it a sign of hyperstimulation?
I'm totally confused.

Re: Spotting after cancelled IUI
That's scarey but I heard some people spot from ovulation. I would call your doctor! Good luck, 'm sure everything is fine, and I'm sorry about the cancelled cycle.....

Re: Spotting after cancelled IUI
That's what I thought, too. But my dr. seems to think it might be the beginning of AF. Based on my bloodwork last week, my progesterone was 2, so I o'd on my own. They said I might spot for a few days first and then get AF.
They seemed hopeful that I can start up again right away.
I never wanted an AF so bad!!!!

Re: Spotting after cancelled IUI
It's most likely the beginning of AF. Were you told not to have intercourse when the IUI was cancelled? I know I was, but it may be different for you. If you get AF on your own and everything checks out follicle wise afterwards, they should go right ahead with your next cycle.

Re: Spotting after cancelled IUI
I went in for bloodwork today to confirm ovulation and they said it is most likely AF. I was given strict instructions not to BD. The nurse said in my case most likely I will have to take the month off because I will probably have cysts. I should be able to start back up again in a month. She did say it all depends on the CD3 blood and sono. Although I'd love for them to clear me to start right away, I am realistically preparing myself that I will probably have to wait, but you never know.
Dr. just called to say that I did not ovulate. I need to go back on Tuesday again for blood and sono and they'll probably give me provera to bring down AF.
I guess this will stall things even more.
