Spotting help please (TMI warning)

At 8 DPO I started having light brown discharge which continued through 9 DPO. Today, 10DPO, it turned dark red and is a little bit heavier. I am not expecting my period until 9/19. Is this too heavy and too long to be implantation bleeding?

Any thoughts on what this could be?

TIA and sorry for the TMI.

I'm no expert, but I think 8 DPO is too early to have implant. bleeding.

Keep in mind, this is just from my LIMITED reading on LIF.

hmmmm...maybe not. Anything is possible. Doesn't it take something like 5-7 days for the egg to travel down the fallopian tube?

Implantation spotting is usually between 7-10 dpo. However, I believe it's supposed to last only 1 day, so multiple days of spotting/bleeding may not be it.

Good luck, and I *hope* it's implantation spotting! Chat Icon

That's what I was thinking...

I did post a poll on the pregnancy board and some people answered that they had implantation spotting for more than one day so I guess there is still hope....

If this is AF I just don't know why it is so early...I'm usually so regular.

Well I certainly hope it's not AF! I just saw your poll on Pregnancy -- seems most people had it for more than a day. That's encouraging! Chat Icon

I'm actually experiencing something very simiar right now, but unfortunately, my body has been doing this since I came off BCP (5 mos ago). I have spotting starting from 10-12 dpo (with a 15 day LP). While I'm hoping and praying it's implantation, I kinda know it isn't. Chat Icon However, I will be waiting to see if my temp drops, because that's a huge indication that AF is on her way.

I went off BCP in January and have been regular ever since, but this has happened to me for my last 2 cycles. I'm still spotting today (now my 4th day) with AF due on Tuesday. I've pretty much given up hope that this is implantation spotting (tested yesterday and got a BFN). Chat Icon

I've started temping but I can't seem to sleep long enough to take them at the same time every day (normally wake up at 7, but have been waking up at 5 or 6 and taking it then because if I go back to sleep and take it at 7 I wouldn't have gotten the recommended minimum 3 hours of sleep)

Thanks for sharing and let me know how it goes. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon to you!
