SPR - Rosh Hashana

DH surprised me tonight with an apple, some challah, and agave nectar to celebrate Rosh Hashana.

DH is not Jewish, I am. I wasn't planning on doing anything. I don't know why. But DH knew that I wanted to expose Cailen to his Jewish heritage by celebrating the traditions since we won't be going to synagogue. And he sat Cailen down in his high chair as I said the prayers (he even printed them out n Hebrew and English!)

He even got agave nectar because babies can't eat honey! Even though I'm vegan, I'll put honey in my tea on occasion, but i usually use agave nectar.

It meant so much to me, even though i didn't realize it would...

That's lovely of him to think of you like that. DH and I are both Jewish and when I asked him if he wanted a challah, he said no. I guess no French Toast for breakfast!

No challah? I miss challah so much being vegan... Little chubby Liza-la could down a loaf in her prime! Chat Icon

Me too! I ran out and had no chance to buy more, so I was doubly happy about that as well! Chat Icon
