Re: SPR: How do you manage your laundry?
I am home with DD until 2pm everyday so I try and do a load or two whenever there is laundry to be done. My DH hates to do laundry and I really don't mind it, so it's not so bad. I get home from work at 1am and I will throw in a load into the wash or fold a load if there is one in the dryer. DH takes the baskets upstairs to our bedroom, then I separate the clothes and leave his stuff on his side of the bed and put mine, our DDs and my SKs clothes away in their room. I do my best to keep on top of it and never let my hamper overflow.

Re: SPR: How do you manage your laundry?
I use Ikea bags as laundry baskets and pretty much let them pile up during the week, on the weekend we do 4-5 loads of laundry. We never seem to get it all put away though...
I should say that both my washing machine and my dryer are integrated intomy kitchen cabinets, so I can't let laundry pile up in there...but somehow, it does.

I randomly get it done....no set routine. I love that our washer is on the main floor, but the dryer is in the garage

Re: SPR: How do you manage your laundry?
My DH does all the laundry, and I fold it! He gets all of it done on the weekends (early morning or late at night when the kids are sleeping lol) Team work!
I'm anal so if there is a basket of laundry sitting there, I can't just leave it, I have to fold it and put it away.

We try to keep on top of it but here is how us usually goes:
We wash all the laundry throughout the week. When I take a load out of the dryer I dump it on the bed in the spare room and close the door.
As DH and I get dressed throughout the week, we pick through the scattered but clean laundry for things to wear and then eventually fold and put the rest away.
You just made me feel so much better - we do the same thing! They're clean clothes just not folded!

BTDT
Chris and I have lived MANY places together, and up until this one and the one before, we never had a w/d, so I always did that.
I may do that when we are really busy, it isn't a bad idea, but can I hire them to come and put it away too?

I'm lucky enough to have a washer that fits an obscene amount of clothes but everyone gets a day...the kids and me. Chris does his own laundry so I don't have to worry about him.
Can I have your Chris?
That si the worst part, damn FDNY uniforms
I feel your pain... Now that I'm pregnant with number 2, I HATE doing laundry. DH now washes his uniforms at the firehouse and I do the other laundry on Thursday's since I work from home, it's still an all day process though...
I think in the next few weeks, I may be sending it out for the wash, dry fold service...

put it away?? the only laundry that gets put away is DD's. Once I get OUR laundry folded, it sits in the laundry basket in our room and we pull the clothes out of it as needed!
I really need to get better about that!
OMG this is us, too!!!!!
Except nowadays, it doesn't even get folded. It tends to sit in the dryer until the next time we do laundry and if anything is really wrinkly, I'll iron it real quick before I wear it.
It's one of the downsides to both of us working so hard

Re: SPR: How do you manage your laundry?
You really want to know?
When my mom comes to visit....she will take a bunch to the laundromat to get me caught up...
As much as I try...there is just too much of it.

Re: SPR: How do you manage your laundry?
We must not change our clothes a lot ....we only have 3 -4 loads a week and DH does it on Sat. mornings, folds it right away. I put it away later that day ( or later that week)

Re: SPR: How do you manage your laundry?
I do almost all my laundry on Sundays. And we are very bad...I will fold and put away Kaydyn's clothes, and fold our clothes but we almost never put our clothes away. We live out of the laundry baskets all week long.

Re: SPR: How do you manage your laundry?
We end up doing most of it on the weekends. but if I do a load or two during the week. I do it first thing as I get home from work - get it in the dryer and fold it before bed. I will put it away in the AM if it is the kids stuff

I am OCD with Laundry. No lie my Dh can wear something today and it'll beclean by tomorow or the next day. I used to do 2-3 loads a day but it's too much on the cespool so I do it every other day now.

I do it all but leave in downstairs. I hate putting it away. Sometimes we have to get dressed downstairs because we have no clothes in our bedrooms
sounds familiar, laundry to us is a 3 day process, we wash it one day, fold the next, and on the third day put it away or it sits downstairs its my least favorite chore

Re: SPR: How do you manage your laundry?
I do Landon's once a week, usually on Sunday night. DH or I do our laundry when it reaches a certain level on the hamper or as we need something. Its not that bad b/c DH helps with our laundry. But I always do Landon's.

I don't have a washer/dryer. We get it picked up and dropped off. I still have trouble putting it away!

Re: SPR: How do you manage your laundry?
I put a load in the washer before work. When I get home I put it in the dryer, and then throw in another load. When the dryer stops, if I'm still awake, I take it out, fold it (leave it in the living room), and put the load in the washer in the dryer.
The next day, I put a load in the washer before work. When I get home, I take the previous day's folded laundry and put it away. I also put the laundry from the washer into the dryer.
Wait 4 days . . repeat.
