SPR-Kinda sad-missing NY really badly
For the past few days, all I want is to be in NY. I miss my family so bad that it makes me cry. It is so hard going through my pregnancy without my mom and dad and my friends  . To add insult to injury, it is very hard to find anything job wise down here because I am not admitted to practice in Florida yet, so I am bored out of my mind. I am so happy to be surrounded by my DH and my wonderful cats and my next door neighbors are awesome, but it is not the same as mom and dad. I even miss my dad's cooking, NY pizza, NYC in general, etc. I don't know if it is hormonal, the horrific 100 degree humid weather in Florida, or the fact that I am going to my 12 week ultrascreen alone, but I am so depressed and sad. 
Thanks for letting me vent.

 I'm sorry you are missing your family so much. I'm sure the preggo hormones are making it worse. Maybe after you see your LO at the ultrascreen you will feel better!

Sorry you are feeling so sad. I'm sure hormones are playing a big role in how you're feeling though (been there, done that  )

its a combo of alot of things im sure. I felt this way when we left brooklyn for PA. granted its not that far, but I had one friend out here, and i hardly see her anyway. we're on an island of our own basically.
our neighbors are great though so that was a big help.
Im sure the pregnancy is what is really making you miss everything. It will get better though!

awwww i kind of feel your pain. my parents live in RI and i am going to be going through it alone too... i have my moments like you're having now and its hard. but you have their support no matter what, whether they're 5 mins down the road, 5 miles, or 5+ states away. why don't you call your mom and put her on speaker phone while you're getting your sono? maybe that will make you feel like shes there! feel better!

I'm sorry you are so sad. Maybe your parents can send you a little care package with some of the foods you miss and things to remind you fo NYC. I know you are bored but the 12 week scan is so exciting. Think about that and seeing your baby, maybe it will help lift your spirits a bit.

I know what you're feeling mama! I have been really homesick lately too. To boot....Dh has been working like a maniac!!!
Keep yourself busy and keep your mind focused on you and your precious baby. It helps make time pass quickly.
I'm here if you need to talk, scream or vent.
I do it all the time to my doggies. They are all I have sometimes!

I am so sorry!
We are planning on moving to Florida after this baby is born. I worry about missing my brother and sister so much. But I don't want to work. I want to stay home so bad with my kids. And my in-laws are moving, so at least we'll have someone a few hours away.
Where do you live in Florida? We are looking in Tampa and Spring Hill.

That would be cool! We live in Boca Raton-1 hour north of Miami. Tampa is 4 hours away.
