SPR:TTC/POAS craziness

OK, so I figured you ladies have gone through this a few times, as did I two years ago and I'm freaking, so am trying to get as many views as possible...
I'm really somewhat early maybe 9DPO if that...I have a bunch of internet dip strips and have gotten like 4 positives on them by really really saturating the crap out of themChat Icon I've dipped them and held them midstream, ur really supposed to just dip them, but as my MIL says in her nursing background "pee is pee" Chat Icon FRER is coming up negative, when I was pg with DD FRER came up positive right after the strips did, so I'm wondering if I'm getting a bunch of false negatives..I just took one tonight and it was neg (a strip one) but I also drank like a bottle of water right before...

UGH someone talk me off the ledge...
Also if you're my friend on FB please do not mention any of this on there...

TIA!!

You may not like this answer, but you need to stop over saturating them. It is true pee is pee, but too much pee is not going to give you an accurate test. Follow the directions and you will get the most accuracy.

As a side note, the internet cheapies are the most sensitive, so if you use it correctly and you get a positive, then I would put money on it that you are pregnant. And also you are only 9 dpo, so even if you are getting negatives, you are so NOT out. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Well, its still really early, so maybe the strips are more sensitive than the FRER. That would be my first thought, because a false positive doesn't really happen unless you took hcg or are waiting too long and getting evap lines.
I'd wait a couple of more days and then test again!

ITA with you, so that's why the last test I did, I over saturated one by doing it midstream and then dipping another one (can you tell I have a problemChat Icon ) and they both came out a positive and in the time period

Lauren, at first I thought it was bc I was reading them too late, but the last few I've read within the time limit and it's come up then

Ugh I hope, I'm just really not convinced bc of the FRER...bc if you're supposed to double your numbers every day that means I should have gotten a BFP on the FRER today...who knows...let's see..I'm soooo not getting my hopes up just yet...
I feel like I got a really bad batch of them randomly...

I had DH pee on one to make sure he wasn't pregnant today..he really thinks I've gone off the deep end, which I legitimately may haveChat Icon

I am no help since I am have recently become a POAS addict as well but.... I think you need to try and back away from the tests till tomorrow morning at least. I haven't used the internet cheapies yet (but I'm ordering them now that I found out they are the most sensitive Chat Icon )but I think that over-saturating any test would make it inaccurate. Good luck and try not to test till the morning! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Ooh, how exciting Jen!

It depends on the sensitivity of the test.

Did you use FMU for the FRER?

9 DPO is very early so a BPF won't show up everywhere.

I would retest tomorrow and if nothing, retest 12 DPO.

Nope didn't use FMU...I will tomorrow..we shall see...

Shelly, the last test I took I did it properly and it came up positive..so who the hell knows at this point...I keep feeling myself up bc my boobs are insane which gets that way when I'm PG and before AF so now I'm making my DH pee on a pregnancy test and randomly feeling myself up...I'm the picture of sanityChat Icon

Re: SPR:TTC/POAS craziness

Just an update, FRER was neg this morning..I honestly think I got some crazy faulty testsChat Icon I haven't tested with the strips today just bc I'm done, I really don't want to go nuts anymore...if AF shows, it shows, if it doesn't then I'll test...

I have a strong feeling that you ARE pregnant. I would wait a few more days and test again with FRER. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
