Squealing and laughing
Did your baby start squealing alot just before he first laughed?? Just this week, Jake started making these high pitched squealing sounds. At first I couldn't tell if he was on the verge of a new cry or if he was trying to laugh. For now, it seems like neither - more like he's just experimenting with the sounds he can make...he seems to be getting a big kick out of it (and it cracks us up!).
BUT, I'm wondering if this is something he came up with on his own or is it something he picked up from one of the kids at the sitter. He started daycare at his grandpa's house this week and I know there is one child there who is around 1 yr old that is quite the squealer/yeller. He's 15 weeks now...is he old enough to pick up things from other children or this his own developmental thing?

lol yes! they start to discover new noises or perhaps heard it from someone. They are like lil sponges at that age.
