St Judes Math-a-thon
I'm not a teacher so I hope you don't mind me posting here 
But I was curious if any of you have participated in the St Judes Math-a-Thon
It was suggested that we do this program in our school and it sounds fabulous just looking for feedback.

I used to participate when I was a kid and loved it. I felt so important, getting people to sponsor me and raising money for other kids.
Plus I was a nerd and liked math.

Does this have to be done as a school or can children participate individually? I'd assume my DS's school is not doing it since I have never heard of it. But he loves math and really has an aptitude for it IMO so it might be a lot of fun for him.
