Stage 1 Food Questions
Did you give prunes to your baby? Did you give it to them for 3 days in a row?
How long did you keep them on the fruit before you gave them vegetables?

Re: Stage 1 Food Questions
I never gave DD prunes, I figured she didn't need help in that department so I stuck with the other fruits...
ETA: I gave her all the veggies first then moved on to fruits.

Re: Stage 1 Food Questions
I gave DS vegetables first. I heard that it's easier to do it this way because they love the sweetness of the fruit and if you do it first, you might have a hard time with the veggies. Although everyone has their own ideas/beliefs...
We gave DS a different veggie each day. I know they say to try each for 3-4 days, but he was fine. Then we moved to fruit. I haven't given him prunes though.

Re: Stage 1 Food Questions
The doc said all the foods for 3 days too... so I fed Mikey a 1/2 jar of prunes for breakfast one day..... WOOOOOOOAAAAHHHHH, did he have a diaper that could kill! So I figred they were OK with him and they certainly cleaned him out. So I figured that was enough. I told my doctor and he said that was fine, since I don't plan on feeding them to him on a regular basis. I would just try them once and make sure there is no major reaction. My doc was OK with it...
ETA- we were on fruit for a month before we started veggies.

Re: Stage 1 Food Questions
Have been doing veggies in 4 day intervals. I buy those Gerber two packs and started with 1/2 jar at dinner so that lasted 4 days then start a new one.
I have not given prunes because Kerri doesn't have a problem in that department.

Re: Stage 1 Food Questions
I have been doing veggies in 4 day intervals also and just finishing the Gerber 2 pack and moving onto the next food. Tonight will be the start of the last vegetable - sweet potatoes. Hope he likes them!
I had given DS a little bit of prunes twice to give his some relief last week. But, I had already given him prune juice when he was about 2 months old, so I knew there was no reaction.

Re: Stage 1 Food Questions
For me the key with prunes is that a little bit goes a loooong way. I stir a few spoonfuls into his oatmeal once a day because he's been eternally constipated ever since I weaned him from breastmilk.
First time I tried them he just polished off the jar and whoooooaaaaa what a mess.
