Stained glass window?
We have a cape and in DS's room there is a hexagon shaped stained glass window which lets in too much light. Any suggestions on how to cover this window?

HomeDepot has window films: HomeDepot Window Films
Either adhesive or static cling. Several styles and patterns. Just cut to fit, put it in, instant stained glass!

Re: Stained glass window?
Tricky one.
Maybe hang a rod several inches above it and put room darkening curtains that fall to several inches below it, and only pull them closed at nap/bedtime?

That's what I would do until they are older and don't need the room dark for naps.

Re: Stained glass window?
do you have a pic.
that bites, cause stained glass windows are so pretty you don't want to cover them up but if it's too bright, that won't work with sleep.

Re: Stained glass window?
Sorry, I was reading the post too fast... I thought you wanted to make it into a stained glass window, not that it already was....
That link still has some films that might work. You can get the tinted ones, or go to a car supply store (PepBoys, Aid Auto), and get window tinting. It would cut down on the amount of light getting through, but still keep the look of the window. From the outside, you would probably never be able to tell, and from the inside, you would still have the colors and patterns, just not as bright.
