stainless steel-cleaning?
Hi
I am moving into a home next week that has stainless steel appliances.
What is the best way to clean them really well the first time too? and how do you maintain them on a normal basis?
Thanks!

Re: stainless steel-cleaning?
To clean them use mild soap and warm water with a sponge, never anything abrasive and do not scrub as you will dull them. I use Cerama Brite cream after cleaning them (I think that's how you spell it) and it works really great - no streaks and leaves a new shine. I tried the Scotch Brite wipes and they were terrible.
Good luck in your new home!

Re: stainless steel-cleaning?
I bought a stainless steel cleaner from home depot, its takes the fingerprints away and makes it nice and shiny...make sure when you wipe them down go with the grain on the stainless steel. If you don't then you will see streaks.

i have found that the liquid or creams work a MILLION times better than clothes or wipes

Re: stainless steel-cleaning?
I use a stainless steel cleaner made by Mrs. Meyers Clean Day. Their products can be found at Target or BBB or Whole Foods.
